2 dogs = insanity

Picture it:

(because it is funny...but mostly because I don't have a photo to share with you)

Me in my jammies (slipper boots, bed head..the works) chasing Stone's parent's dog down our driveway, through our yard and back up our driveway.

This little pup really gave me a run for my money.

Oh, and then he pooped in our living room.....awesome.

Deck the Halls!

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas......in our humble bungalow.

Lights off

Lights on

Next house we will hopefully have a mantel....I have a hand knitted stocking that I have had since I was a wee babe but Stone doesn't have one so we just go with these matching stockings mi Madre loaned to me.
(to do for next year: have a stocking made for Stone)

I bought this old door at a garage sale for $3. It leans in the corner of our family room. I keep meaning to paint it a funky color, but I kind of love it how it is....in all it's scratched up dingy glory.

Are you ready for Christmas?

Um.....I'm not. I still have a few gifts to buy and a bit more holiday cheer to round up.

Shake it. Shake it. Shake it like a polaroid picture.

This Saturday we went to the lovely wedding of two of our friends.

The bride was stunning. The groom was handsome. The venue was fantastic.

And Stone didn't disappoint.....

(please make note of the tie thrown over the shoulder to allow for maximum air guitar awesomeness)

I would like to state that this dancing phenomenon only happens at weddings. I'm not sure what gets into him!

PS: Check out the beads I was wearing. At some point during the insanity, they switched from a classy necklace to Rambo style bullet beads.....

La La La La La La

Yesterday (to the horror and embarrassment of two of my nieces) mi Madre and I had a Christmas tune sing along.

Thank you Madre for being a part of an awesome duet....

Someday, when Stone and I live in a bigger house, we will have mi Madre's old piano in our living room and we will gather round for a good old fashioned sing along.

Until then, the Christmas tunes flowing from the radio will have to do.

Burst

'POP'

That is the sound of my bubble being burst.

I was all geared up and ready to purchase these sweet little boots from here, when a big fat 'SOLD' popped up on my screen.

'POP'...bubble burst.

PS: Remember when Christmas is only two weeks away and I

A) shouldn't be shopping for myself

and

2) am having a medium to mild anxiety attack at how under prepared I am!!!!

Colonel Mustard in the Library with a Candlestick

Notice anything missing?

On two occasions we have come home to find a photo from our dining room wall, laying on the dining room floor.

Not broken, not upside down, not on top of the buffet that is directly below....just laying there. Almost as if it has been gently placed there.

Then the other night Stone and I came home and found the house to smell as if someone had been smoking inside.

(Stone and I are avid NON-smokers)

I think we have a ghost.

A smoking, picture moving ghost.

I don't feel good about it.

Keep it to yourself!

The problem with being practical, and purchasing Christmas gifts early, is that I am BURSTING to tell Stone what I got him.

I already caved and gave him one of his presents early....and not because he asked for it! I just walked into the room and said, "I'm gonna give you one of your Christmas presents today." to which he even went so far as to so, "Nah, you should save it for Christmas." Which only made me want to present him with a gift even more!!!!

I can't even tell you about the gift I am super pumped to give him. What if today is the day he decided to do his random read through of my recent posts?

How about I tell you what I already told him????

It was originally priced at $94.00 then marked down to $54 then when I went to pay it rang up as $41!!!!!!!!!!!! I literally yelped with glee.

PS: I know it is rude for the gift giver to tell the giftee the price of their gift, but we are talking about Stone here. He makes a special trip to another grocery store to buy toilet paper because it is cheaper there....the man loves a bargain.

sadface

Remember when my throat feels like someone scraped it with a wire brush....and my limbs have a dull ache?

I do.

PS: This will be the third (yes, THIRD) time I have gotten sick this year!!!!!!! Let's just say I'm upset about it.

PPS: See those Deep Walnut walls behind me??? Someday, when my good camera gets fixed, I will share better photos with you...until then, all I can offer is this little sneak peek.

Going GREEN....

Saskia, my sweet friend from across the sea, tagged me with a fun little diddy to photograph GREEN things around my house.

Here you go!!!
a green magnetic 'frame' hanging in our green guest bedroom

a funny green piece of art hanging in our red kitchen

a green flowery apron that used to be my Gran Estelle's

a random collection of my teacups, cake stands and plates...including a few green ones

and last, but most certainly not least, our little green frog planter. Stone's Grandma gave this to us as an engagement present (with a plant in it, which due to my brown thumb has since died) We don't have a plant in it, but it rests happily on a bookshelf in our living room. It's quirky and I love it.

Stone's worst nightmare?

The dreaded 'chin slap'.....

PS: Seriously, the chin slap is almost the greatest thing ever. To hear a grown man squeal like a school girl because he has a ticklish chin/neck....I made a spectacle of him tonight at the grocery store with the sneak attack chin slap!

The Funnies

(Me and Lisa having a giggle by the pool...I wish I was there)

1. I purchased a new top/tunic at Target the other day. When I put it on this morning, to wear to work, I was 73% sure it was a maternity shirt. Upon my arrival to work it was confirmed by a friendly coworker.

The front of the top/tunic was obviously longer to allow for a growing belly.

Oops!

2. Tonight I was singing to my beloved. I sang a few songs and then my mind went blank.

I turned to Stone:

"What song should I sing now?"

"I don't know."

"Well what song do I know all of the words to?"

"I don't think there is one. I've heard you sing in the car and....um....yeeaaahhhhh.....I don't think you have ever gotten one right."

Oops!

sweet tooth

In the words of my dear sweet bean Katie Jean,

"I try to eat healthy, but I can't. It's not fun!"

Tonight I am having serious sweet tooth issues.

I went to get a drumstick out of the freezer, but was disappointed to find we had eaten the last two yesterday.

I checked the cabinets...nothing

I checked the fridge....nothing

I glanced over at the counter and saw the remaining two sugar cookies Stone's mom made us over a week ago. Although very delicious when she brought them over to us, they have um.....well....lets just say, passed their prime.

I debated.

I went and sat on the couch.

I walked back into the kitchen and rechecked the cabinets and fridge.

And then....

I glanced at the counter and saw the remaining two sugar cookies Stone's mom made us over a week ago.

Will power...lets just say, I don't have it.

A crunchy sugar cookie does the body good right?

Aint That Sweet!

Guess what my beloved did.

Go on....guess.

.

.

.

.

.

.

.

.

OK fine, I'll tell you.

He went and took the next 4 Mondays off of work to be able to spend time with his lady!

(that's me by the way)

Other than sharing a day full of giggles and hugs, not working on Mondays also means we get to have Sunday Funday!!!

NOTE:

Sunday Funday-

When one doesn't work on Monday it means Sunday is technically their Saturday, which in turn means NO BED TIME!

Cheers to Sunday Funday.....you should try it sometime!

PS: I apparently thought it was Monday Funday and stayed up way to late ready Dan Brown's The Lost Symbol.....and then I dreamed in symbols and code

Friday, November 13, 2009

And then there was one....

Dear solo Slipper Boot,

I left you in the upstairs hallway, with your mate...I know I did!

I was looking forward to sliding my cold tootsies into your warm fuzzy goodness when I got home.

For two days now your mate has been missing.

The canine (you know, Matilda) has been intensely interviewed and all her hiding places have been searched....to no avail.

Do we have a ghost? A slipper boot stealing ghost????

Where could your mate have gone?

Hoping we are spook free,

Courtney

PS: We cracked the case. The mate was found hiding in the hamper.....the paw print pointed to a canine.

How the time slips by

What I really want to do is post photos of our new and (very) improved family room and all it's Deep Walnut glory.

But I can't.

There was a teeny tiny mishap with the camera involving someone (me) dropping it and breaking it.

I really should take it to the camera shop tomorrow before work because after all, I don't work until 1pm.

But I can't.

Before I head off to work, I have a very important date with a comfy couch, a blanket, a warm cup of tea and the movie Wolverine. Stone's dad gave me the movie months ago and I have failed to watch it. Last night while talking over dinner he informed me he 'couldn't believe I hadn't watched it yet!' and that I 'need to hurry up already' because he has 'many questions he needs answered!'....so I guess that makes me the X-Men Encyclopedia??? (aka: closet sci-fi lover)

Perhaps Friday before work at 12pm?

Can't.

I have a very important date with my lovely stylist Amber for a pre-holidays color touch up. (can you say HELLO BLONDE ROOTS!)

Maybe on Saturday?

No can do.

I've gotta work at 8:30 and after that I have a very important date scheduled with Lisa, who is in town from Detroit.

All of this means that not only do I not get to post pics of our cozy new family room in all of it's Deep Walnut glory....I also do not get to document what is most certainly going to be a fun night out with the girls!

I shake my fist at you time....and your slippery ways!!!!!!

Take A Look....

Do you ever sit and just take it all in? Everything around you and in your life that makes you happy?
I do, and sometimes I'm overwhelmed. I have so much to be happy for it seems silly to ever waste a moments time being anything else.
This morning when the alarm went off I sat up and got ready to get out of bed, but then I laid back down. I rested my head on Stone's shoulder and realized it was the most cozy spot I had ever been in. We laid there in silence just breathing. It was no more than a minute, but it was a perfect minute.
A minute when I knew, to the deepest part of who I am, that I am where I am meant to be.

Good morning.

Until Sunday.....

Tonight I had a dinner date with my beloved before he left for a weekend with the boys.
Thank you Stone, Mama Carrolla's was delicious (as usual) and the company (you) was lovely (as always).
I will miss you while you are away. Our bed will seem oh so lonely without you in it and my tootsies will feel oh so chilly all alone under the covers.
While you are away I will:
*turn every light in the house on once it gets dark
*snuggle with Tilda
*read my book club book (Her Fearful Symmetry)
*get spooked by every groan and pop coming from our old house at night
*maybe put away all of my laundry (heavy on the maybe)
*day dream of your safe return on Sunday when I will shower you with hugs and kisses

(Stone in Rome. If you look close, you can see the beard he grew while we were there. Blonde hair...red beard...who knew!?!?!)

Sassy (with a capital 'S')

This is my niece Laney.
Don't let her sweet little face fool you....she will sass you until the cows come home.
This evening while checking my email she 'yahoo chatted' me.
We 'chatted' back and forth for a bit and then she said,
"OK! BRB"
I responded with,
"what's BRB"
Miss Sassy Pants hit me with,
"be right back....DUH!!!!!"

(please let it be known she even took the time to make the 'duh' a larger font size)

Nothing like being told you are a dumbass....by a 10 year old.

Hand to his heart......

Stone and I slow dance.

Did I ever tell you that?

Well we do, and I think it is lovely.

Last night, while celebrating Halloween at my sister's, I asked him to slow dance with me. But being the modest man he is, he asked if we could later.....when we weren't in a room full of other people who weren't dancing

This morning I woke up to Stone's favorite tunes playing in the next room.

I got up and we slowed danced to Van Morrison's "Into the Mystic".

Into The Mystic - VAN MORRISON

He took my hand and held it over his heart.

I love it when he does that.

ha!

Quite possible the greatest thing I have ever seen? Ellen's Halloween costume....

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

Friday, October 30, 2009

Today....

I don't want to get up and get ready. It's cold. It's rainy. It's all around a grey day....and I'm feeling underwhelmed.

I need to get up, have a cheese quesadilla and shake this funk away.

(yeah, I said cheese quesadilla....breakfast of champions around these parts!)

Weekend Awesomeness

*Remember when I posted about finding an old metal table top (I think I used the word formica and that is incorrect) for $25 that I am going to slap some legs on and make into a table????

Well, I have one up-ed myself. I found an old metal topped table for $20 at Goodwill on Monday!!!!!!! (remember, I don't work Mondays therefore I must spend my time wisely...like shopping for bargains)

Please excuse the blurry pictures. I may or may not have dropped our new camera and successfully broke the lens. (sshhhh!!!)

I'm not sure what I am going to use this little gem for, but I do know I'm going to slap some paint (possible red) on those legs!!!!

* Saturday night whilst hanging out with Katie Jean and Babs (who by the way just bought a house 2 blocks from us....EEEEKKK!!! so excited!) something absolutely awesome happened. All of us...Katie Jean, Babs, Stone and I...sang, from our hearts, the ENTIRE Golden Girls theme song.

If by chance you are unfamiliar with this tune....have a listen

Now picture in your head four adults (OK, semi-adults), 2 of which are men, belting this song as loud as possible.

It.Was.Awesome.

I don't know what prompted the singing, but the memory of our quartet will warm my heart for years to come.

Success....finally

In the 2.5 years that we have lived in our home, I have been unable to make a batch of cupcakes in our oven....without burning them.

I know what you are thinking, USER ERROR. But honestly it's not me, it's the oven. Even mi Madre, best cook I know, burned cornbread muffins in my oven.

Let's just say what needs to be said....our oven is the devil.

Well, the tides turned on Saturday.
Voila!!!!

I successfully made a batch of (unburned) carrot cake cupcakes! (in Scooby-Doo wrappers...I think they give them a little something extra special)

PS: I had planned on making red velvet cupcakes (my favorite) but was unable to find the mix anywhere. Has anyone else noticed red velvet cake mix has gone missing?!?!?!?!

PPS: Heck yeah I use boxed cake mix! Who do you think I am, Betty Crocker!?!?!?

PPPS: I'm sorry for getting saucy just then. It would be lovely if you thought I was Betty Crocker. Completely insane, but still....lovely.

From my Great Granny to you....

Saturday brought friends, laughter, conversation and fun to my humble home. I debated all week about what to make for linner (lunch + dinner = linner). After much conversation and with the help of many, I decided on my Great Gran Estelle's vegetable soup.

I grew up on this soup/stew. It warms my soul thinking about coming home from school and smelling a pot of this goodness cooking on the stove.

Estelle's Vegetable Soup

1 head of cabbage shredded
1 small onion finely chopped
3 potatoes peeled and chopped (bite size)
4 carrots peeled and chopped (bite size)
1 cup frozen corn
1 cup frozen lima beans
1 cup frozen green beans
1 large can tomato juice
1/2 stick margarine
Nature Seasoning to taste (click the link if you are unsure as to what Nature Seasoning is...basically a blend of salt, pepper, garlic, onion etc...)

HOW TO:
Put cabbage and onion into the pot along with the tomato juice, margarine and seasoning. Let cook down for a while. (note: the pot ((make sure to use a BIG pot)) will look really full with just the cabbage and onion, but it cooks down to nothing so don't you worry a bit!) Add the remaining vegetables to the pot and let cook until all the veggies are tender....or covered and on med-low to low for a few hours.

Note 1: If it looks like there needs to be more liquid in the pot, add water or more tomato juice (at any point in the cooking process)

Note 2: If you want to be a good little cook and use all fresh veggies, GO FOR IT, we just use the regular old frozen for corn, lima beans and green beans because well it's a heck of a lot easier.

Note 3: I used a rather large pot on my stove for this (the kind with two handles on either side)....if you choose to do that too, you can go ahead and purchase the bags of frozen corn, lima beans and green beans and just throw the whole bag into the pot.

Note 4: If you would like to make this Vegetable Beef Stew....just add shredded beef to the pot while it is all cooking together. I grew up on that variation as well.

This is seriously easy cooking. Add a side of corn bread and a big spoon and you are set!!!!

PS: Saskia, I will be making your mushroom risotto recipe sometime this week....I'll let you know how it goes. Thank you for sending it over!!!

drawing a blank....

Tonight I asked Stone what I should blog about and he said, "blog about being awesome" and then he tricked me into giving up the computer so he could 'get some work stuff done' but really I peeked over his shoulder to find him reading about the Colts and checking his email.

Men...you can't live with them.....but without them, who would go down to the scary basement and wash the leggings I need for work tomorrow????

I decided to take Stone's advice and show you a photo that captured a wee bit of me being awesome.

If you look closely you will see that I am wearing what appears to be a teeny tiny housecoat which I have accessorized with a candy necklace.

If that's not awesome, I don't know what is.

Here's how I see it....

I'm technically bettering my chances of winning $50,000 each time I eat at McDonalds....

....so I shouldn't be embarrassed that I have this many Monopoly pieces right?

RIGHT?????

Why I kind of love not working on Mondays

I've got time to browse for vintage/retro goodies all morning with my sister and Katie Jean.

What I found:

a set of 3 1/2 tea cups & saucers (and the saucers are actually little plates) for $10.00

note: there are 4 saucers and only 3 cups

a broach for $5

a retro fan blade for $10...to be added to a little project on our upstairs hallway wall

note: will post photos when complete

AND

an old white formica table top for $25.00....which will be turned into either a new dining table or a new outside patio table. I haven't decided yet.

Oh I almost forgot!...then we went to a little boutique in town and Katie Jean found me a sweet dress for $10.00...complete with ruffles and stripes!

Girly Mondays are the best.

People are weird

How lazy can a dog possible be that it needs to be carried in a pouch?

This afternoon I saw a woman, live and in living color, 'walking' her dog in one of these things.
I.WAS.SPEECHLESS.

Glad to see that pup is getting all the exercise it needs!

I guess it could have been worse....

....she could have been wearing the pup in a fanny pack.

3 Things You Didn't Know About Yours Truly

1. I like the water in the shower to be hot.....like so hot it kind of burns my skin a little bit.

2. For the past 2 months I've had the soundtrack from the latest Harry Potter movie on 'REPEAT' in my car. Track #20 is my favorite

3. I can't snap with my right hand.

PS: I bought a butternut squash at the grocery tonight...and I have absolutely not idea how to cook it. Any suggestions?

'X'

One of the reasons why I love Stone is his ability to make me laugh.

(whether that be with him or at him...I enjoy both.)

One of the reasons Stone (sometimes) makes me want to pull my hair out is how forgetful he can be.

The other morning I walked downstairs to find Stone wearing this:

Court: Hey Buddy....ummmmm....what's with the hand drawn X on your t-shirt?

Stone: This t-shirt is old and needs to be thrown out, so I put an X on it as a reminder to throw it away after I wear it today.

Turns out even his forgetfulness makes me laugh.

maybe you will have better luck....

Don't let the top of this pie fool you. Yes, it looks delicious with it's carmel and walnut covered cool whip goodness. But underneath it is a hot mess. Well, not really a hot mess...it is after all a 'no bake' pie.

I made two of these pies.......both of them flawed from the start because I went to the 'dirty Kroger' down the street from my J.O.B....which didn't have the needed ingredients.

(It's 'the dirty Kroger' for many reasons. First and foremost it kind of smells like urine and secondly because it never has what you need. Or it will pretend to have what you need...like an avocado for example, but then when you go to pick up said avocado your thumb goes right through it because it is so past it's prime)

NOTE: You cannot substitute canned pumpkin with canned pumpkin pie filling. I learned this the hard way (ie: two ruined pies). Thank you 'dirty Kroger'.

The recipe can be found here. It honestly looks like a little slice of heaven...when made correctly.

PS: whoever said getting the first slice of a pie out of the pie, without mangling the rest of the pie, was easy....needs to come to my house and give me a lesson on how to cut a pie.

recent converstations between husband and wife

Convo #1

Stone: I feel kind of bad for the mouse that is going to die tonight, but really this is getting kind of absurd.

Court: (stink face)

Stone: Do you think mice in the house during the winter happens to all of these old houses around us too?

Court: (stink face)

Stone: I'm gonna have to see the dead mouse when I get the laundry from the basement in the morning...it's upsetting.

Court: (stink face)

Convo #2

(the scene: watching a commercial set in the 1950's)

Stone: You know, I miss the good old days.

Court: (looks at husband confused)

Stone: Well you know, even though I didn't really live in them.

Court: Didn't really?....or didn't at all? (he was born in 1980)

Stone: (stink face)....the 50's were a great time...the 60's too.

Court: (looks at husband confused)

Wednesday, October 7, 2009

Hey Stone...

Do I need these?

can be found here

I think yes.

PS: Stone just peeked over my shoulder at this post...and promptly gave me the stink eye.

Reason #742 Why Girlfriends Are The Best

#742: They go to Anthropologie with you...and enjoy it.

Stone has informed me he can feel every ounce of joy and hope being drained from his body the second he steps foot inside Anthro. He usually sits on a bench outside of the store....

....and sends me Anthro 'hate texts'.

PS: I purchased a shirt from Anthro the other day that was $98.00, but I got it for $19.95. SAY WHHHHAAATTT!?!?! You heard me.....$19.95.

Nearing the End

I have paint under my fingernails. I have a medium to mild headache from the fumes. My house is in shambles. (don't even get me started on the guest bedroom...aka: the 'hold everything room' at the moment) But....

BUT.....

The family room is almost complete. I'm rounding third base and heading home. This morning I need to slap the third and final coat of paint on the walls, and watch it dry. Or not watch it dry. Because that sounds about as fun as the Glaucoma test at the eye doctor. That damn puff of air never fails to make me jump out of me seat!

A preview for you.....here are the new pillows going on our couch. My dear sister (who at this moment is cruising through the Mediterranean...yes, I am a teensy bit jealous...who wouldn't be?) picked them up for me. She has an eye for lovely and I'm the lucky duck who she shares her finds with!

On a completely non related note.....I had poor decision making skills on Saturday. We had a block party on our street. The festivities were outside and since it is officially winter here, it was about 7 degrees. I thought it a great idea to warm myself up with a bit (or a bunch) of hot apple cider....spiked with whiskey. This equals I hated my life on Sunday morning. But...

BUT.....

(there's always a 'but')

Not only was it delicious, it did keep me toasty warm!!!!

Fill Yourself With Fall

I wore my first wool sweater of the season today.
It.Was.Itchy.
The cool weather got me craving something fallish. Lucky for me, mi Madre baked me a loaf of pumpkin bread!
Obviously the only natural thing for me to do is A) show you a picture of said loaf so you can drool and B) share the recipe for said loaf so you can get to filling yourself with some fall goodness!!!

(note: As you can tell via the above photo, Stone and I clearly filled ourselves with some fall goodness. We have eaten 3/4 of the loaf in a day...OOPS!)

Pumpkin Bread-mini loaf

Ingredients
3 eggs
2 cups sugar
2 cups canned pumpkin
1 cup oil
1 t salt
2 t cinnamon
1/2 t baking powder
2 t baking soda
3 t vanilla
2 1/2 cups flour
1 cup chopped pecans

How To
Preheat oven to 350 degrees
Beat the eggs.
Add sugar, pumpkin, oil and vanilla to eggs and mix until creamed
Combine salt, cinnamon, baking soda, baking powder and flour.
Add the dry mixture to the wet mixture...along with the chopped pecans.
Mix until everything in incorporated.
Pour raw ingredients into mini loaf pans and bake 35-40 minutes.....or until the toothpick comes out clean.
Place mini loaf pans on a cooling rack, let cool, then remove and ENJOY!

(note: can make into larger loaves or muffins...will need to adjust cooking time accordingly)

H.E. Double Hockey Sticks

Anyone who has ever had the pleasure of removing wallpaper, knows what it is like. I am currently in hell. I brought it on myself, but all the same....it's still hell.

Wallpaper hell.

I'm trying to keep my eye on the prize. The prize being my freshly painted 'Deep Walnut' family room (with crown moulding to boot).

"I think I can. I think I can. I think I can. I KNOW I CAN!" It's my mantra and I'm sticking to it! I'm 1/4 of the way through the project.

1.remove top layer of wallpaper...done
2.remove second layer of wallpaper
3.prime
4.paint

If I had the current address for the previous owner of our home...I think I would send her hate mail.

Wallpaper does not bring out the best in me.

On a happier note.

Mi madre brought me a tasty lunch to work the other day.

On the menu: chicken salad croissants, strawberry & spinach salad, buckeyes and raspberry lemonade.

I thought I would share the recipe for Strawberry & Spinach Salad

Strawberry & Spinach Salad
*1 ½ to 2 bunches of spinach
*1 pint of fresh strawberries (thinly sliced)
*sliced almonds (warm & stir in skillet in melted butter until toasted)

Dressing

(usually double the ingredients below)
*1/2 cup of sugar
*1 tablespoon of sesame seeds
*1 tablespoon of poppy seeds
*1 ½ teaspoon of minced onion
*1/4 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
*1/4 teaspoon of paprika
*1/4 cup of cider vinegar
*1/2 cup of vegetable oil (sometimes use ¼ cup olive oil & ¼ cup vegetable oil
-How To-Add Image
Place all dressing ingredients except oil in a blender. Add oil in a slow steady stream with blender on low speed. Blend until creamy and thick.

(notes: sometimes we just put the dressing ingredients in a jar and 'shake shake shake!' until our hearts are content!)

Wash and dry spinach and place in a large salad bowl. Add strawberry slices, toasted almonds and toss all ingredients with the dressing.

ENJOY!!!!

more on dreaming....

The other night I woke myself up laughing.
I can't remember what the dream was about or why it was so funny, but what an awesome way to wake up!
Oh, and here is a shot of Katie Jean and I after 'game night' on Saturday ....
...snug as a bug in a rug.

PS: I'm officially the worst Jenga player ever.
